Indonésie : à savoir avant de partir

L’essentiel

  • Most visitors need a Visa on Arrival (IDR 500,000, 30 days, extendable once by 30 days) — buy it online in advance as an e-VOA at evisa.imigrasi.go.id.
  • Submit the free All Indonesia arrival card (immigration, customs and health in one) within 3 days before arrival; it replaced the paper customs form and SATUSEHAT pass.
  • Bali charges a tourist levy of IDR 150,000 per person per entry; pay via the official Love Bali site or on arrival.
  • Drug offences carry the death penalty; never carry anything for others.
  • Beware of fake visa/arrival-card websites charging inflated fees.

Entrée et visas

ASEAN citizens enter visa-free; nationals of about 97 countries (including Russia, the US, UK, all EU states, China, India, Turkey, UAE, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, Belarus) get a 30-day Visa on Arrival, extendable once for 30 days, or an e-VOA purchased online beforehand. Air and sea arrivals use All Indonesia; land arrivals use the customs ECD route. Bali visitors also pay the Bali tourist levy.

Réseaux de paiement : Visa, Mastercard, JCB, UnionPay

Apple Pay — fonctionne par endroits · Google Pay — fonctionne par endroits

Où changer de l’argent

  • Authorised money changers with a Bank Indonesia licence (e.g. Central Kuta / BMC chain in Bali)
  • Bank branches (BCA, Mandiri, BNI)
  • Bring new, undamaged USD 100 notes (older series get worse rates or are refused)

Où éviter de changer

  • Small unlicensed street booths with 'too good' rates (sleight-of-hand scams common in Bali)
  • Hotels
  • Airport counters for large amounts

Distributeurs: Mandiri lists IDR 50,000 per foreign Visa/Mastercard withdrawal, plus issuer fees; JCB/UnionPay are exempt from its access fee. Other banks set their own tariffs: check the ATM screen. Use bank-attached ATMs and protect your PIN.

Pourboires: Not obligatory; many restaurants add 5–10% service plus tax. Round up for drivers; IDR 20,000–50,000 for guides or spa staff is appreciated.

  • Apple Pay isn't officially launched in Indonesia, but foreign cards via phone wallets work at many contactless terminals in Bali and Jakarta; local QRIS is the main digital method.
  • Russian-issued Visa/Mastercard cards do not work abroad; bring USD/EUR cash or a card issued elsewhere.
  • Count money at the changer's counter before leaving.
