Irlanda: qué saber antes del viaje

Lo esencial

  • Ireland is outside Schengen. Schengen visas do not grant entry; UK-visa exceptions are limited to specific schemes.
  • The Republic uses euros; Northern Ireland uses sterling.

Entrada y visados

Ireland applies its own admission rules outside Schengen. British citizens have Common Travel Area rights; other travellers must check Irish nationality and visa rules. A Schengen visa is not valid for entry. UK visas only qualify under defined schemes, often requiring prior lawful entry to the UK.

Validez del pasaporte: Carry a passport valid for your journey; British citizens should check carrier passport-only requirements even where no passport is legally required.

En la frontera pueden pedir

  • Non-EU/EEA/Swiss/UK visitors should carry passport, any required visa, accommodation, itinerary, funds and health insurance evidence.
