Inreis en visa

From 15 July 2026, Gibraltar’s short-stay entry conditions align with Schengen rules under the provisionally applied UK-EU agreement. British visitors have 90 days in 180, counting time in Gibraltar together with Schengen time. The airport has Gibraltar and Spanish Schengen controls. A UK visa or ETA is not a substitute for required Schengen permission.

Geldigheid paspoort: Non-EU short-stay visitors: issued within the previous 10 years and valid at least 3 months after planned Schengen departure.

Religie: Roman Catholicism is the main tradition, alongside other Christian, Jewish, Muslim, Hindu and other communities.

Kleding: For religious sites, follow the venue’s visitor instructions and dress respectfully.

Etiquette

  • English is official; Spanish and the local English-Spanish speech known as Yanito are also used.

Klimaat

Warm, dry summers and milder, sometimes wet winters. The Levanter can bring cloud, humidity and fog around the Rock; wind matters for coastal and upper-Rock plans.
