Istanbul/Princes' Islands

Princes' Islands are nine islands in the Sea of Marmara, about 5 km off the Asian coast of Istanbul, and part of that metropolis. In Turkish they're Prens Adaları but usually just called Adalar, the designation of their city district: Ada means an island and "-lar" makes them plural. Büyükada (which helpfully means "big island") is the largest and has the most visitor facilities. They're a weekend escape from the frenetic city.
