Before you go to Guadeloupe: what to know

Must know

  • Guadeloupe is outside Schengen; check the territorial validity of your visa.
  • Demonstrations may disrupt transport; follow current local notices.

Entry and visas

Guadeloupe is a French overseas department outside Schengen. British visitors can stay visa-free for up to 90 days for tourism or business. Check French overseas visa requirements for other passports; a Schengen visa alone may not cover the trip. Keep onward travel, accommodation and funds evidence ready.

Passport validity: UK advice: at least 3 months beyond planned departure; rules differ for EU citizens.
