Before you go to Cyprus: what to know

Must know

  • Cyprus is outside Schengen; its 90/180 allowance is separate. EES does not apply here.

Entry and visas

The Republic of Cyprus is outside Schengen. British tourists can stay up to 90 days in 180, separately from their Schengen allowance. The island is divided; check the Republic’s rules before arriving through the north. Other nationalities must check Cypriot visa rules rather than assuming a Schengen visa or exemption suffices.

Passport validity: British visitors: issued within 10 years, valid 3 months after departure, with a blank page for stamps.
